Kicking off 2025, Tycho embarked on an international tour in support of their latest album, Infinite Health. Derived from thoughtful synthetic crafting, these songs will become lexicon for the group. “Devices” and “Green” are some of the more deeply universal and powerful songwriting from Scott Hansen.
“To make the most positive impact on the people you love and the people that love you, you have to be the healthiest, strongest version of yourself and that includes both physical and emotional health,” says Tycho’s Scott Hansen.
Timely, the group recently released Where You Are (Mom+Pop / Ninja Tune), an EP that sees re-visioning of their title track and others.
With so much volatility in the world, seeing Tycho at The Vogue was refreshing as a deep breath. Music is such an intimate experience; it was beautiful to see so many people get lost in the sounds and enjoy these synthetic songs wrapped around post-rock demure, all swaying into the night. Like a deep immersion into nature, Tycho is exactly what we self-care that we need right now.
Bad Tuner started the night with a mysteriously devious mix. If you have not dug into his Brooklyn Rooftop mix, give it a listen!
Tycho performed a mix of songs spanning his career from the hypnotic “Phantom” to the essential “Awake.” Songs like “L,” “A Walk,” and “Consciousness Felt” peppered in between.
