Psychlona
Warped Vision
Magnetic Eye Records
The sheer volume that disperses from Psychlona, Warped Vision is a rock and roll storm unparalleled, merging the classicism of 1970s British acid rock with American muscle.
“Jasmine” opens up the pistons with a scorcher exactly what you would expect. The band scratches every itch with one of the best rock songs I have heard this year.
And they don’t stop! The humidity of “Let’s Go” as the power of this song blows your hair back is incredibly rich. Lyrically, it satisfies the urges of both Doom and Desert rock fans. But you can’t beat your fans over the head with one major rocker after another. “Smoke” is that drifting guitar swirl that gets lost in the fog. This is a psychedelic dream providing purpose to substance.
To go even deeper, pair that up with the closing track, “Magic Carpet.” A little blues-laden chord structure, Pink Floyd-esque wandering and a key to the portal to your mind. Through wonderfully crafted songs, this band has discovered an alternative universe that blends exploration with classic rock craftings that will simply blow your mind. Warped Vision is the adventure I want to go on over and over again.
